Yeongdeungpo District in Seoul, South Korea, has always been a hub of transportation, imbuing the city with the excitement of arriving in or departing from Seoul. The lifestyle shop Slow Steady Club, located in Yeongdeungpo Department Store, was designed with the idea of bringing this excitement right into the store. The most distinctive feature is the 'carousel' that runs through the interior and exterior of the store. By adopting the method of displaying products on the carousel and designing some of the stands like airport kiosks, the store captures the essence of an airport. This approach can be interpreted as a strategic design that creates usability not only within the occupied space of the department store but also in the external spaces, when viewed from an urban perspective. The furniture also contributes to this consistent experience, utilizing vintage chairs that were once used in Berlin Airport.
