Topological optimization is a technology with vast potential in architecture. However, due to the complexity of its forms, there are projects produced without a fully perfect understanding. This project is an experiment to further comprehend the geometry created by topological optimization in this context. The experiment is divided into two main directions: experiments on 2D and on 3D, and it involves tracing back through the wings of insects, which are believed to apply this methodology in nature, to verify hypotheses. Based on such rigorous experimentation, if applied to architecture, it would allow architects to apply it in a manner that fully controls the results without relying on the resulting complexity.
